THE STORY SO FAR…
For the past 18 months, a team of singer-songwriters have been voluntarily working away in the background on a project that we believe is significant for this time. It tells the story of Esther from the Bible in a fresh new way, as a live musical performance using all original songs and script.

After launching whyisrael.co.uk during the Covid season, and seeing so many young adult Christian influencers joining the conversation on Israel, the Gospel and the UK Church, I connected significantly with Tom and Melissa Pollard. They are incredibly gifted singer/songwriters themselves and so inevitably I brought up the idea of one day writing a musical together. Then, over time we found this small organic collective forming of other worship leaders, producers, and creative writers who carried the same heart and vision.

One such creative was Chris Mitchell, who owns a small recording studio in Reading, and was willing to open his doors for some creative collaboration. So far, there are seven recorded demos, and a couple initial drafts of scripted scenes being worked on, which is all very exciting.
